The Ecology element is focused on establishing and enhancing the resiliency of the ecosystems within and along the waterways and connected neighborhoods with the ultimate goal of improving the physical, chemical, and biological measures of water quality.

Goal
  • Promote 55 acres of waterway corridor restoration on public and private lands in ROW Focus Areas by 2020.
  • Promote water quality through pollution prevention via creation and implementation of toolkits and information dashboards for key stakeholders.
Outcome
  • Enhanced natural beauty, health, and resiliency of waterways
  • Increase in ROW communities’ participation in stewardship activities
