Education

Guiding Principle: Empower individuals to make a difference in their community by educating them about the watershed, its history, and its value to their neighborhoods.

Educating Residents, Young and Old, to Steward Our Waterways

Even though we use water every day, most of us don’t really understand how our water systems work and how urban waterways fit into our lives.

The Education Element is focused on actively engaging people of all ages, cultures, and affluence to learn about the waterways’ health, history, and value in their neighborhoods.

ROW’s Education Element Committee works to empower individuals to make a difference in their community by educating them about the watershed, its history, and its value to their neighborhoods.

Our Initiatives

Organizing Events and Programs around the waterways and destination locations that promote the stewardship, value, importance, and history of the waterways.

Creating Tools and Campaigns annually for all waterways, cultivating aware and engaged residents that act as community and environmental stewards.
