Little Eagle Creek
ROW is focused on Little Eagle Creek which is a small waterway whose headwaters are in New Augusta Road just north of 71st Street. It then flows along the International Marketplace and through the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and continues until it converges with Eagle Creek just south of Washington Street.
ROW is focused on the areas around the International Marketplace and Eagledale Neighborhood. In 1968 the Lafayette Square Mall area was built and recently, due to the influx of ethnic restaurants and grocery stores, it has been re-branded as Indy’s International Marketplace. Between the International Marketplace and the Motor Speedway is the Eagledale Neighborhood, a suburban community built in the 1950’s and 60’s.
